Burden of Proof on Astrology Odyssey.

This assignment is for students who seem to me to have trouble figuring out the basic logic involved in figuring out whether or not astrology works or not. I'm going to give you the steps you should follow to determine whether or not astrology works.

1. Figure out who bears the burden of proof here. (See burden.htm for help.)

2. Figure out if anything you've looked at so far supports the idea that astrology has met it's burden of proof.

3. If you think that astrology has met it's burden of proof, write a paper defending the idea that astrology works, and explaining how astrologers have met the burden of providing positive evidence that it works. If you think that astrology hasn't met it's burden of proof, write a paper defending the idea that astrology does not work, and explaining how astrologers have failed to meet the burden of providing positive evidence that it works. In either case, explain and meet the most relevant objections to your view.

For more information on how you might structure your paper, see conclusion.htm or odysseymodel
